Affiliate Disclosure

How Dock AMP earns money, and why it never changes what we recommend.

Amazon Associates disclosure

As an Amazon Associate, Dock AMP earns from qualifying purchases.

You Should Know

  • When you buy through some links on Dock AMP, we may earn a small commission.
  • You pay the same price. The commission comes from the retailer.
  • Commissions never decide which products we rank or how we rank them.

1. What an affiliate link is

An affiliate link is a tracked link to a retailer. If you click it and buy a qualifying product, the retailer pays Dock AMP a small percentage of the sale. This is how we keep the site free, with no paywall and no pop-up ads for a mailing list.

2. How it works with Amazon

Dock AMP is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.com.

After you click one of our Amazon links, Amazon sets a cookie. Qualifying purchases made in the next 24 hours can earn us a commission. If you add a product to your cart during those 24 hours, it can still count if you buy it within 90 days. The commission can apply to other products you buy in the same visit, not only the one we linked.

3. Where you will see affiliate links

  • Product names and images in our top-pick tables and product sections.
  • Buttons such as “View latest price” and “Check price on Amazon”.
  • Some links inside the text of our guides and answers.

Links to other Dock AMP pages, manufacturers’ manuals and official standards are ordinary links. They do not earn commissions.

4. Prices

We send you to the retailer for the latest price instead of listing fixed prices, because prices change often. Product prices and availability are accurate as of the date and time shown on the retailer’s site and are subject to change. The price at checkout is the one that applies.

5. Our promise to you

  • Rankings are based on research: manufacturer specs, documentation and verified owner reviews.
  • We never accept payment for positive coverage, and brands cannot buy a place in our rankings.
  • We do not test products hands-on, and we never say we do.
  • We do not write fake reviews or invented testimonials, in line with the FTC rule on fake reviews (16 CFR Part 465).
  • If content is ever sponsored, it will be clearly labeled “Sponsored” at the top.

6. Why we tell you this

The US Federal Trade Commission requires websites to clearly disclose financial relationships with the brands and retailers they link to (FTC Guides Concerning the Use of Endorsements and Testimonials in Advertising, 16 CFR Part 255). We also believe you should know how a site makes money before you trust its advice.

7. Other programs

Amazon Associates is our primary affiliate program. If we join another program, we will add it to this page. The same rules apply to every program.
